UNILEVER plans to invest 235 million/year in Indonesia

British and Dutch-based multinational consumer products giant Unilever has pledged to invest up to 235 million (equivaent to est. Rp 2 trillion) a year in Indonesia.

During a meeting in Jakarta on the weekend, Unilever CEO Paul Polman had shared the company’s investment plan with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, presidential spokesman Teuku Firmansyah said on Sunday. Click -> here for complete story.

Indonesia, Jordan to build joint chemical company 310 million U.S. dollars

Indonesia and Jordan will build a joint chemical company with estimated investment cost of 310 million U.S. dollars, an official said here on Wednesday.

"Our ministry has agreed a cooperation plan to develop a company that will produce acid phosphate, acid sulfate and as well as nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium (NPK) between local fertilizer company of PT Pupuk Sriwijaya Palembang and Jordan Phosphate Mine Co.
